On Tuesday, September 18, 2018 St. Mary’s College competed in a soccer tournament for Special Olympics School Teams held at Superior Heights. This wonderful program provides sport training and competition opportunities to high school student-athletes with intellectual disabilities aged 13 to 21.
Again this year, SMC entered a Unified Team, comprised of athletes with an intellectual disability and mainstream students who compete side-by-side for their school. It is always a great day when students can enjoy some sunshine, engage in healthy competition, and spend time with friends. These student-athletes gave it their all.
Great work, Knights.
