Hours of Operation

Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Closed: 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. 

Deliveries

City Schools

Delivery and pick up service is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday (excluding holidays). All resources are reserved on a 4-day (weekday) turn-around booking cycle. If a longer period is needed, please call the Media Resource Centre to request an extension.

Deliveries

Check the “In-coming’ learning materials table at your school.

It should arrive by 12:00 noon of the expected delivery date.

Make note of the DUE DATE on the shipping card.

Preview all material for content and age appropriateness for classroom viewing.

Returns

Before returning materials, please package it the same way in which you received it.

Place a note with the material if it has been damaged.

Be sure to return the guide and worksheets with the material.

Place due items on Out Going table before 9:00 a.m. of due date. 

Couriers will pick up and return to the MRC.

District Schools

Delivery of materials to district schools are via Purolator Courier. Items are reserved on a Friday-to-Friday basis and are shipped from the Media Resource Centre every Thursday so that they are delivered to the district schools the next day, Friday morning. If a longer period is needed, please call the Media Resource Centre to request an extension.

Deliveries

Friday delivery allows district school teachers the opportunity to use Friday or the weekend to preview (be sure material is content and age appropriate for classroom use) and use throughout the following week.
Be sure to preview material for content and age appropriateness for classroom use.

Returns

Before returning any materials please package it in the same way in which you received it.
Place a note with the materials if it has been damaged or parts are missing.
Be sure to return the guide and worksheets with the material.
Place packaged materials into the shipping container by Friday afternoon so that it is ready for pickup by Purolator Courier on the Monday of the due date.

Repairs

  • The Media Resource Centre provides schools with a repair service to School Board-owned presentation technology (A/V) equipment that is part of the official equipment inventory.
  • All items sent in for repair must have a proper repair tag attached to it for processing.
  • Repairs are not billed back to schools and departments.
  • Invoices/bills are administered centrally.
  • We also provide an evaluation service to determine repair estimates and viability of equipment. Please call the Media Resource Centre for this service.
  • School Board A/V equipment is not to be sent out for repair service to outside maintenance facilities without prior authorization. Please check with the Media Resource Centre first.
