Welcome! Bonjour! Annin!
We thrive in a cooperative partnership that involves the school, the pastoral team of St. James the Greater Church and the home. With Catholic education as our common purpose, we gather with a rich variety of physical and intellectual capacities which honour the dignity and value of every person.
The philosophy of inclusion and Faith development will continue to guide our planning and programming. In concert with the Ministry of Education’s Literacy and Numeracy Secretariat, we as a Turnaround School, will continue to build greater capacity for improving student learning at St. Mary’s School as outlined in our school improvement plan.
This website is one of the many means by which we communicate with our parents. Our handbook contains many basic statements on school policy and on school routines that will be of assistance to you. The handbook is revised on a yearly basis and we always welcome parental input. Monthly newsletters and the events pages on the website will keep you informed about what is happening at the school.
At St. Mary’s School, we will continue to promote a safe school environment. Our bullying prevention program, code of conduct and TRIBES agreements are all part of our Safe School.
Communication between home and school is very important to us. Please do not hesitate to call or make an appointment with your child’s teacher to discuss any concerns or questions.
Best wishes to all for a successful school year!
