The HSCDSB is expanding a special program that focuses on young children learning how to better express their emotions in a positive way.
Teachers and Early Childhood Educators from a number of schools were introduced to Al and his pals after the Al's Pals Program was successfully piloted at a hand full of schools last year.
The workshop was very detailed as the proper use of the puppets (Al, Keisha and Ty), songs and student interaction is crucial to the success of the program.
Great strides have been seen at the pilot schools in student behaviour overall and the approach students take when they are feeling upset or frustrated.
