Our Mandate
To act as an advisory body of volunteers who work together to provide ideas and opinions to help the Principal (and the Board through the Principal) to improve pupil achievement and enhance the accountability of the education system to parents. The CSC is not responsible for personnel, curriculum, individual student, and supervision or censorship issues.
Our Members
The CSC shall be comprised of the following members: the school Principal, one teacher, one non-teaching member of the school staff, one parish representative, one community representative (appointed by the council) and one student representative (secondary level). Members of the CSC, with the exception of the Principal, are elected or appointed annually.
Our Meetings
Catholic School Councils must hold a minimum of four meeting per year. All meetings are open to members of the school community. Dates of meetings must be published in a manner for members of the school community to access.
