Important Learning

Students in the Kindergarten/Grade 1 class engaged in learning for National Truth and Reconciliation Week.

The students worked on showing respect and hearing each other in our sharing circle as well as about the experiences of residential school survivors through read alouds “When I Was Eight and The Orange T-shirt Day“.

Ms. Drury led the students in talking about how kids should feel when they are at school in comparison to the stories they read as well as ways that everyone can take action to make sure our school is a safe place to be.
