2022-23 Calendar Approved

The Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board, along with its four coterminous boards, has approved the School Year Calendar for 2022-2023. 

The school boards have worked together to produce a common calendar, facilitating the co-ordination of services such as student transportation.  Each board adopted the calendar, consisting of a 194 day school year, following its own consultation process.  Their respective calendars will be submitted to the Ministry of Education for final approval. 

The 2022-2023 School Year Calendar will be the same for all English and French-language schools and all public and Catholic school boards in all communities served in the Algoma and Sudbury Districts. 

Overview of the 2022-2023 School Year 

Elementary and Secondary Schools 

▪ ADSB, CSC Nouvelon, CSPGNO and HSCDSB school staff begin on Thursday, September 1, 2022. 

▪ ADSB, CSC Nouvelon, CSPGNO and HSCDSB students begin classes on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. 

▪ The Christmas holiday schedule is set from Monday, December 19, 2022 to Monday, January 2, 2023 inclusive. 

▪ March Break is scheduled from Monday, March 13 to Friday, March 17, 2023. 

▪ The last day of classes for staff and students is Friday, June 30, 2023.

January 27 to February 2, 2023 (5 days) 

June 26 to 30, 2023 (5 days)
