Long-Term Occasional Teacher – Catholic Curriculum Coordinator (K-12) – Special Assignment Teacher

The Board is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, creative, organized and professional Catholic educator/leader who is able to work effectively with the staffs, students, parents, and communities in the board’s jurisdiction.  The Catholic Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for:

• System leadership, coordination and administration of curriculum development and implementation of Ministry of Education, school system procedures, and strategic directions;
• Organization of in-service activities and meetings for various facets of curriculum development;
• Participation in meetings and activities of various curriculum-related groups (includes travel);
• Recommendation of curriculum programs and practices to be implemented in the schools;
• Recommendation of textbooks and resource materials which supplement the curriculum documents in use;
• Collaboration on all K-12 curriculum initiatives, including writing of reports related to ministry funding;
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Qualifications in three of four divisions (Primary, Junior, Intermediate, and/or Senior)
• Religious Education in Catholic Schools, Part 1
• Experience with elementary and secondary curriculum development and implementation
• Elementary and secondary teaching experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Qualifications in four divisions (i.e., Primary, Junior, Intermediate, and/or Senior)
• Religious Education in Catholic Schools, Specialist
• Special Education, Part 1
• Ability to demonstrate evidence of all capacities outlined in the Catholic School-Level Leadership Framework
