Students and staff at schools in all board facilities participated in the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.  Many lessons were taught about the day and why it is being recognized.  

It is one step in furthering the education of Canadians on the Residential Schools system which decimated many Indigenous for decades and the continued effect on younger generations of Indigenous who didn’t even attend the schools.

An important symbol of the day is wearing orange to show support for indigenous children who suffered great abuses.
