LOCATION: Mount St. Joseph Catholic Education Centre, Sault Ste. Marie, ON

EFFECTIVE DATE: September 2021

Working in concert with various leaders in the board, the successful candidate will provide board-level leadership, direction, and support to deepen the board’s education and career / life planning programs and the expansion of community-connected experiential learning for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12, including adult learners. The successful candidate will also help build teachers’ capacity around experiential learning, connect students to experiential learning opportunities that occur outside of the traditional classroom, and assist in the development of a four-year board plan related to experiential learning. This leadership position is based in Sault Ste. Marie and will require regular travel within and beyond the board’s jurisdiction if restrictions permit.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Qualifications in any three divisions (i.e. primary, junior, intermediate or senior)
  • Religious Education, Part 1
  • Elementary and secondary teaching experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Qualifications in all four divisions
  • Adult Education, Part 1
  • Religious Education, Specialist
  • Special Education, Part 1

This position is open to permanent teachers currently employed by the board.
