EFFECTIVE DATE: February 2022

The Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board invites applications for this position from all current CPCO members working in the board. The board is seeking a dynamic Catholic educator who is able to work with staff, students, parents, clergy, parishes, and community members on the board’s mission and Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP). The successful candidate will be assigned to a Sault Ste. Marie school. The initial placement will be in the elementary panel.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ontario Principals’ Qualifications, Part 1
  • Any three of the four divisions (Primary, Junior, Intermediate, Senior)
  • Religious Education in Catholic Schools, Part 1
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

The successful applicant will demonstrate evidence of the following practices and procedures in accordance with the Ontario Leadership Framework (2013) – Catholic School-Level Leadership Framework:

  • Building Relationships and Developing People
  • Developing the Organization to Support Desired Practices
  • Improving the Instructional Program

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ontario Principals’ Qualifications, Part 2
  • Special Education, Part 1
  • Religious Education in Catholic Schools, Specialist
  • French as a Second Language, Part 1

  1. A complete résumé with three (3) references, including a pastoral reference form from a parish priest.
  2. The most recent Record of Qualifications from the Ontario College of Teachers and current performance appraisal.

 

Interviews will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022.  Applicants selected for an interview will be required to do a ten minute presentation on a topic to be provided on Friday, January 14, 2022.
