The Board’s Student Senate led by student trustees Adam Morgenstern and Jenna Viotto organized a Pumpkin Carving contest for elementary schools in Sault Ste. Marie.
The parameters were to carve a pumpkin with a St. Mary’s College theme. Classrooms got together to decide on the best design drawn up by a student and then it was submitted.
After the top designs were selected students in SMC arts classes were asked to replicate the design in a pumpkin carving.
The winners of a pizza party are the:
Grade 3 class at Our Lady of Lourdes (Primary Level)
Grade 6 class at St. Basil (Junior Level)
Grade 8 class at St. Paul (Intermediate Level)
The runners up receive cookies baked by SMC foods students.
They are the;
Grade 1/2 class at Holy Cross (Primary Level)
Grade 4 class at St. Paul (Junior Level)
Grade 7 class at St. Paul (Intermediate Level)
Congratulations to our top classes and Happy Halloween from the student senate and everyone at St. Mary’s College.
