Accidents can and do happen. Some injuries incur medical, dental or other expenses that may not be covered by provincial health care or extended medical plans. As a parent or guardian, you become responsible for these expenses.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Board makes available an Accident and Life Insurance Program for students. Participation in such a program is voluntary and the costs are to be paid by the parents or guardian. If you have not already received a brochure, please contact your school.<\/p>\n<p>The Board has arranged a Student Accident Insurance Policy exclusively through Old Republic Insurance Company of Canada. This program offers a variety of plans and benefits including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>dental expenses (resulting from an accident)<\/li>\n<li>total and permanent disability<\/li>\n<li>paralysis\/loss of use<\/li>\n<li>special disability benefits<\/li>\n<li>death benefits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The insurance agreement is between <strong>you<\/strong> and <strong>Old Republic Insurance Company of Canada<\/strong>.
