UPDATE AS OF June 23, 1:21PM:

The student who was reported missing from St.Pauls Catholic Elementary School this morning has been found safe.

We would like to thank the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, school staff, and members of the community for their support and cooperation during the search.

We appreciate everyone’s assistance in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students.

We would like to inform you that a police presence is on-site at St. Pauls Catholic Elementary School and in the surrounding area. Officers with Patrol Services, including members of the Emergency Services Unit, are on site assisting in the search for a 12-year-old Iris Senecal, who wandered away from the school grounds. 

We understand that this situation may be concerning. Please be assured that the safety and well-being of our students is our top priority, and staff are working closely with police to support the ongoing search. Community members are advised to avoid the area while officers continue their search.
