Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board uses MyPowerHub as our sole interactive communication platform for parents and guardians.

MyPowerHub provides families with a consolidated, convenient and secure way to access information about their child’s education, communicate with teachers and schools, and manage student attendance – all in one place.

Please note: Emergency or urgent situations should continue to be communicated directly with your child’s school main office.

What Can You Do with MyPowerHub?

Connect and Communicate: MyPowerHub allows families to easily view information related to their child’s education and communicate back and forth with teachers. This supports collaboration and helps families stay connected to their child’s learning and progress.

Report Absences: With the integrated SafeArrival tool, reporting your child’s absence is easier and more convenient. Parents and guardians can report absences 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including future absences.

View Student Information: Access important student information in one place and take quick action when you have questions or concerns.

Stay Informed: Receive broadcast communications from your child’s school and stay up to date on what’s happening in your school community.

Easily Switch Between Students: Families with more than one child can quickly move between student profiles using the Student Switcher, all within the same platform.

How to Access MyPowerHub

Families have 2 convenient ways to access MyPowerHub:

NOTE: Parents/Guardians will receive an email invite to activate your account from PowerSchool to set up your account before you can login to the website or app.  The email is titled ‘Welcome to MyPowerHub Guardian in Canada’.

Safe arrival

In addition, we will use the SafeArrival automated notification system to contact parents whose child is absent when the absence was not reported in advance. The automated notification system will attempt to contact parents at multiple contact points until a reason is submitted for the absence. If our system is unable to reach the designated contacts, office staff will follow up.  

If you report your child’s absence in advance using the SafeArrival automated phone system, website or mobile app, you will NOT receive these notifications. 

As outlined in Board policy, teachers will monitor parent communication (including through this platform) and acknowledge receipt within 48 hours. Teachers will communicate to parents how they plan to utilize the platform.
