Students at St. Paul were very enthusiastic about the Pumpkin Carving Contest organized by the Student Senate. The pumpkins needed to have a St. Mary’s College theme and the artwork selected by each class was then put into a pumpkin carving by arts students at SMC.
That interest paid off for the Grade 8 class as it won the Intermediate Division top prize. Their design was carved into a pumpkin by Grade 12 student Adam Morgenstern. The class will receive a pizza party.
In the Junior Division, the Grade 4 class at St. Paul placed second and they receive cookies baked by SMC foods classes students.
The Grade 6 class design received an honourable mention.
Way to go Patriots!
