Talking Treaties

Mrs. Donnelly’s grade 5/6 class at Sacred Heart in Espanola learned about treaties today thanks to a virtual live chat with two chiefs from the Anishinabek Nation. 

Several other schools were on-line as they discussed with students, and took questions from them, about treaties.

Sacred Heart was very excited to get a ‘shout out’ during the presentation and are looking forward to joining tomorrow’s discussions with Indigenous youth leaders.
