I Have a Dream

During Black History Month students in Mme. Neveau’s Grade 5/6 class learned about a famous civil rights activist in the United States.

Dr. Martin Luther King was a revered champion of equality particularly for Black Americans who suffered discrimination.   Sadly he was assassinated in the midst of his fight against racism.

However, his famous, “I Have a Dream”, speech he made in Washington, D.C. in 1963 remains a beacon for equality and justice for all.

Students were asked to put together their own ‘dream’ of their hopes for a better world.  See some of their work below.
