POSTING: Clerical 2024-09 

LOCATION:  Our Lady of Fatima School, Chapleau

EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately

END DATE: Undetermined

HOURS OF WORK: 30 hours/week

SALARY:  $28.97/hour plus vacation pay

Under the supervision of the school principal, the secretary performs a variety of duties to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the office. These duties include:

DUTIES:

  • Keyboarding and filing of school reports, records and correspondence;
  • Assisting in maintaining administrative records (student attendance, record of supply teachers, student marks, etc.);
  • Meeting the staff, students, public and answering the telephone;
  • Operating office equipment and photocopying equipment;
  • Operating computer and various software packages (Microsoft Office, Aspen, );
  • Handling and distributing mail;
  • Performing general office

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Work independently and as part of a team;
  • Possess a good knowledge of office procedures and methods;
  • Good keyboarding skills and filing skills;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to organize and maintain an efficient school office;
  • Operate office and photocopying
