Welcome to Kindergarten at the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board! Kindergarten is where little learners begin their school journey—meeting new friends, learning through play, and discovering what makes school a joyful place to be.

See below for our options for registering your child for Kindergarten at one of our schools: 

NOTE: To attend Kindergarten, your child must be at least four years old by December 31 of the year they start school.

 

OPTION 1: Pre-Register Online AND Complete In Person

Begin the registration process online. The school will contact you to invite you to complete the registration at school. Click the link below to begin.

*Only for Kindergarten to Grade 8

Once you complete either registration option, the school will contact you to confirm and make an appointment to complete registration. Please bring the following documentation to your appointment:

  • Birth certificate
  • Canadian citizenship
  • Immigration papers
  • Passport
  • Baptismal and faith record
  • Bank statement
  • Credit card statement
  • A lease or deed
  • Car registration
  • Utility bill
  • Home phone or residential telephone bill
  • Moving bill
  • Property tax bill
  • Written and formal correspondence with a government agency

 *Proof of address must be current and show the parent’s name with the address. The Huron Superior Catholic District School Board may request additional documentation.*

  • Passports
  • Permit resident card
  • Records of landing
  • Refugee documentation
  • Study permits

Please submit proof of your child’s immunization records directly to your local health unit:

  • If your child is going to Our Lady of Fatima (Chapleau); St. Mary (Massey) and Sacred Heart (Espanola) – Public Health Sudbury and Districts
  • If your child is going to Holy Name of Jesus (Hornepayne) – Porcupine Health Unit
  • If your child is going to one of our schools in Sault Ste. Marie, St. Mary’s (Blind River), Our Lady of Fatima French Immersion (Elliot Lake), Our Lady of Lourdes (Elliot Lake), St. Augustine French Immersion (Wawa) or St. Basil’s (White River) –  Algoma Public Health Unit
