POSITION: Long-Term Occasional Teacher – ACE Program

LOCATION: St. Basil Catholic School, Sault Ste. Marie, ON

EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately

ANNUALIZED SALARY: $51,679 – 117,020

The Board is looking for an occasional teacher who is a strong communicator, has strong interpersonal skills, and is a team player. 

About the ACE Program:

  • The ACE Program is intended for students who have been identified with either a developmental disability, mild intellectual disability, or an alternate identification which includes low cognitive function as part of the students profile.
  • Students have the opportunity to participate in and be exposed to a variety of life skills.  Activities that may be part of the program include: activity based learning, grocery shopping, cooking, taking public transportation etc.
  • Students have the opportunity to continue to develop functional math and literacy skills
  • Students work on their individualized programs with support provided as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Primary, Junior & Intermediate Division Qualifications
  • Special Education, Part 1

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Religious Education in Catholic Schools, Part 1
  • Special Education, Specialist
