POSITION: Plant Services Office Support – Summer Student

LOCATION: Sault Ste. Marie

STATUS: Temporary – Student

HOURS OF WORK: Regular Schedule: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Summer schedule: (July-August) 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday

RATE OF PAY: $20.00 hour

JOB SUMMARY: The Plant Service Office Support – Summer student will work with the HSCDSB Plant Services team and our Manager of Plant Services to develop and update processes and manuals, including emergency procedures, equipment inventory, and room identification, using engineering principles to support accurate documentation.

REQUIREMENTS: 

•Enrolled in post-secondary education in Architecture, Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related field

•Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

•High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in documentation and data entry

•Strong written and oral communication skills

•Demonstrated interest in facility management, construction, and maintenance operations

•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

•Working knowledge of AutoCAD is considered an asset
