POSITION:                 Tutor in the Classroom (Math Focus)

LOCATION:                Sacred Heart School, Espanola, ON

EFFECTIVE DATE:    Immediately to June 2026

HOURS OF WORK:   Monday to Friday – During school hours

                                    (Schedule of hours to be arranged with successful applicant)

RATE OF PAY:            $22.00 / hour

DUTIES:

Reporting to the principal, the tutor in the classroom will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Support the work of teachers in elementary classrooms to allow for tier three mathematics interventions
  • Work with small groups of students to reinforce numeracy skills
  • Support students with digital tools being used in the class to support math instruction
  • Support students with assigned math work, problems and “extra sessions”
  • Supporting students as otherwise directed by the principal

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Completed or enrolled in a post-secondary program at a College or University.
