Board Mourns
The Board extends its deepest condolences and prayers to the family of Jennifer Smith, who passed into God’s loving arms on April 8, 2025.
Jennifer was a cherished member of the St. Francis French Immersion School community and a dedicated educator who poured her heart into teaching. She was known for her compassion, her unwavering commitment to her students, and the warmth she brought into every interaction. Jennifer believed in her students with her whole heart, and they felt that love and trust in every interaction. Her encouragement, trust, and high expectations helped them grow not only academically, but also as confident, capable individuals.
Her impact reached far beyond the classroom. Jennifer had a remarkable gift for sensing when someone needed encouragement and always found the right words to offer comfort or support. Whether she was mentoring a new teacher, volunteering her time, or simply being a caring presence, Jennifer gave of herself freely and wholeheartedly. Her kindness was not just a gesture—it was a reflection of who she truly was.
Her loss is deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, students and colleagues.
May the eternal light of Christ shine upon Jennifer.
