Renée Wysynski peacefully passed away at Sault Area Hospital on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the age of 75.

Renée dedicated more than 30 years of her life to Catholic education with the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board, serving with distinction as both a teacher and principal. She was widely respected for her leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to student success. Renée inspired generations of students and colleagues alike, leaving a lasting impact on the communities she served.

Her devotion to education and service was evident throughout her career, including a time when she generously stepped forward to serve as principal of multiple schools simultaneously. Renée’s leadership journey spanned several schools within the Board, including Our Lady of Lourdes and Holy Family, and concluded with her successful tenure as principal at St. Thomas.

Renée will be remembered for her dedication to faith-based education, her steady leadership, and the care she showed for every student and staff member she encountered. Her legacy continues in the many lives she shaped through her work and example.
