We want to inform you that there has been a possible gas leak in the 100 Wing at St. Basil Catholic Elementary School this morning. The fire department has been notified and is on site to assess the situation. 

As a precaution, St. Basil Catholic Elementary School will be closed for the day, and students have been safely relocated to the Gym. 

We kindly ask that you make arrangements to pick up your child at the gym at the front of the school on St. Georges Avenue. Staff will be on site to support students and assist with the dismissal process, and police will be assisting in directing traffic. 

If you are unable to make an arrangement to pick up your child, regular busing pickup will take place at the normal time. 

Student safety is our top priority. We understand this may cause inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we respond to this situation.
