The Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board, Algoma District School Board (ADSB), Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon (CSC Nouvelon) and Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord have approved the School Year Calendar for 2023-2024.
The four school boards have worked together to produce a common calendar, facilitating the co-ordination of services such as student transportation. Each board adopted the calendar, consisting of a 194 day school year, following its own consultation process. Their respective calendars will be submitted to the Ministry of Education for final approval.
The 2023-2024 School Year Calendar will be similar though not identical for all English and French-language schools and all Public and Catholic school boards in the Algoma and Sudbury Districts including Blind River, Chapleau, Dubreuilville, Elliot Lake, Espanola, Hornepayne, Manitoulin Island, Massey, the North Shore, Sault Ste. Marie, Spanish, Wawa and White River.

â–ª ADSB school staff begin on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
â–ª HSCDSB, ADSB, CSC Nouvelon and Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord students begin classes on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.
â–ª The Christmas holiday schedule is set from Monday, December 25, 2023 to Friday, January 5, 2024.
â–ª March Break for the HSCDSB, CSC Nouvelon and Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord is scheduled from Friday, March 8, to Friday, March 15, 2024.
â–ª March Break for ADSB is scheduled from Monday, March 11, to Friday, March 15, 2024.
â–ª The last day of classes for staff and students is Friday, June 28, 2024.
