The Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) is a specialized, Ministry-approved program that allows students to focus their learning on a specific economic sector while meeting the requirements of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

St. Mary’s College offers five SHSM programs that include:

HOW IS THE SHSM RECOGNIZED?

Students who successfully complete the requirements of a SHSM program receive:

  • An OSSD with an embossed red seal
  • A SHSM Record Card documenting achievements, certifications and training
  • Formal recognition on the Ontario Student Transcript
