The Indigenous Student Union is a group of self-identified First Nation, Métis and Inuit students who represent the Indigenous students at St. Mary’s College.
They work together with students and staff to increase cultural opportunities, raise awareness about the issues that impact Indigenous people and advocate for the Indigenous student body.
The Indigenous Student Union follows the Seven Grandfather Teachings of Love, Respect, Honesty, Humility, Bravery, Truth and Wisdom. These teachings guide them to ensure they do things in a good way.
Their goal is to engage Indigenous students and help make the St. Mary’s College community more inclusive for all. Students are committed to leading us all towards Truth and Reconciliation.
