POSITION: Temporary Behaviour Coach

LOCATION: Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, Chapleau, ON

EFFECTIVE DATE: October 2025 to June 2026

ANNUALIZED SALARY: $68,453 to $77,000

Reporting to the Special Education Curriculum Co-ordinator, the successful candidate will serve as an integral member of a dedicated interdisciplinary team in co-operation with school principals/vice-principals, applicable school staff, and outside professionals in addressing the needs of students with behaviour/autism.  The successful candidate will provide support for in-school transitions and assist with the implementation of necessary recommendations. Working very closely with the Autism and Behaviour Advisors, Mental Health Lead, and school teams, they will provide coaching and direction in order to build capacity with our front-line special education staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of applicable Diploma or degree or equivalent 
  • Training or equivalent field experience in autism and behavioural science 
  • Experience working with children and youth who have special education needs, in particular those who have autism spectrum disorder

  • Effective modelling and coaching strategies
