POSTING: Clerical 2024-08 

LOCATION:  Holy Cross School/Holy Family School/St. Francis French Immersion School/ Our Lady of Lourdes School

EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately

HOURS OF WORK: 25 hours/week (9:30 am – 3:00 pm)

SALARY:  $26.05/hour plus vacation pay

DUTIES:

The Library Maintenance Worker reports to the school principals and is required to receive, catalogue, process and shelve books and learning materials in the school library.  They are also required to:

  • Maintain the card catalogues, either in the traditional format or in the electronic formats when available;
  • Maintain and monitor circulation procedures and inventories;
  • Perform maintenance procedures as required to ensure the usable condition of the items in the collection;
  • Conduct and maintain library inventories as required and requested;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Work independently and as part of a team;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision;
  • Previous experience in a library setting and knowledge of library procedures and presentation technologies would be an asset.
