POSITION: Summer Transition Program Skill Builders

LOCATION: Various Schools [position count contingent on registrations]

  • Sault Ste. Marie – 8 possible positions
  • Blind River/Elliot Lake – 2 possible positions
  • Massey/Espanola – 1 possible position
  • Wawa/White River – 1 possible position
  • Chapleau – 1 possible position
  • Hornepayne – 1 possible position

SCHEDULE: August 11, 2025 to August 22, 2025 (Approx. 45 hours)

RATE OF PAY: $30.19/hour

The successful applicants will work with the teachers in the delivery of a summer transition program.  Primary duties will include maintaining student health and safety, supporting the reintroduction of procedures/routines in a schools setting, and supporting the students with academics and self-regulation strategies.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successful applicants will be required to complete an orientation and training session
  • Completed or enrolled in a College or University program in an education or child-related field (preferred)
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to support small groups and individual students both in person and virtually

 

Note: Interviews for these positions will be held on June 19, 2025 & June 20, 2025.
